Welcome 2019 with tacos!
Taco of the Month
A fan favorite taco is back this month at Puesto. The Pork Tinga taco is filled with braised pork shoulder, chorizo, potato, chipotle salsa, cilantro, queso fresco, avocado, and some chicharrón pieces.
The chorizo and onions are cooked, and then combined with potatoes and pork shoulder. All that goodness is then braised in the oven in a tomato-chipotle-garlic sauce. Once cooked, its topped with queso fresco, cilantro, avocado, and chicharrón. In Spanish, tinga means stew. The tinga for this taco uses a very traditional recipe made with pork, chorizo, tomato, and chipotle chiles. The perfect wintery guisado, this dish is classic and homey. It’s packed with smoky, porky goodness and some extra crunch and texture from the chicharrón!

Firefighters and Their Families: The Foundation supplies emergency support to departments and families of firefighters killed in the line of duty and provides educational assistance to the children of fallen firefighters through the California Firefighters Endowment and Daniel A. Terry Scholarship program.
Victim Assistance: The Foundation’s Supplying Aid to Victims of Emergency (SAVE) program brings immediate, short-term relief to victims of fire or other natural disaster throughout California.
